Testing
Current New Jersey law states that all commercial buildings must have their fire systems tested bi-annually. Twice a year we go to each of the properties we monitor and dutifully perform battery calculations, fully test each smoke detector, perform live tests on flow monitors, check tamper switches, ensure all notification devices such as horn and strobe modules work. We even perform atrium smoke evac tests now with clean non-caustic, water-based smoke machines.
